I've got Adam Sayer's '57 Chevy Street
Eliminator car in for cage updates
and intake and exhaust plumbing.
The new Funny Cage is done and a few
extra bars added to bring the car
up to SFI 25.5.
I had to move the seating position back
which resulted in having to
move the shifter up and back.
I've had to take a couple of days out from Adam's car to
get some urgent
work done ready for the early Easter race dates..
Mark 'Chalky' White's 350 smallblock is
one of my little babies! I built
this for Conrad when he owned the Vega and we were very
happy with
the performance. I was pleased when Chalky brought it
back for a
once-over after four years of hard racing and a Supergas
Championship
to it's credit.
It was in great condition, with just new rings and
bearings, a new damper
and a few oil leaks needed sorting to bring it back up to
scratch.
The bearings were perfect other than an unusual wear
pattern caused
by the tired damper which had started to come adrift of
the hub.
Next in line is Ian Norman's 'Glide
which suffered a worn band due to
a shifter linkage mis-adjustment.
I'll check it over when I fit the new Kevlar band, but
I'm expecting
no other problems as it's only done three passes since
it's last rebuild.
------------------------------------------------------------
I 've just welded the ends on this
9" Ford destined for a life in the back of
a 427 powered Gasser Pop.
This 427 Hemi has a Speed Pro EFI which
I am in the process of wiring
and helping with the set up. Once the injector pipes are
fitted this kit looks
just like an early mechanical system, cool!

------------------------------------------------
I've just had these valve bodies
machined and once the seperator plates
have been laser cut I will be able to offer Zannetec
Pro-Tree transbrakes
in my Powerglide racing transmissions.
